My Landscape

From our office building atop the giant cliff, we could gaze out at the 2 rivers and a giant lake, and watch the hawks drift by. With this incredible view to distract us, it was amazing we could get any work done.

My Ideal Getaway

I lay on the deck of the beautiful sailing ship, and gazed out at the wondrous sights around me. Way above my head was a towering waterfall, flanked by a gigantic cliff. I saw another smaller waterfall closer to me. Ahead I could see a glorious volcanic mountain. A cloud lazily drifted by, as my ship drifted through the calm seas.

How It Looked Eons Ago

This image shows a nice use of two Scape Builder techniques. The first is fine-tuning of a layer's position. I used the Mini-nudge feature to precisely position the waterfall on the top of the mountain. The bottom of the waterfall at first didn't look very realistic, but I covered that up by placing a mesa to block part of it. This "coverup" technique worked well.
